Online dating before COVID? Mike and Aria were not exactly looking for their soulmate when they logged on to tinder, but what a blessing it turned out to be. On the first date, the two felt like long-lost friends who were just picking up where they left off. With ease, they learned each other fully. Through every step, every transition, every moment, the obvious choice is always to move hand in hand. They will be wed in the month of the celebration of 10 years together.
Mike and Aria have been musical all their lives.
Mike has been pursuing it actively since his middle school days, developing skills and honing talents of songwriting, singing, playing guitar and other instruments. He has been in and led many bands with many projects in many cities. Music has been his ultimate passion in life.
Aria has been a singer since birth and shined mostly in the shower, car rides, choir and worship team in her younger days.
Once joined together, Aria first became a loyal groupie to Mike and his band. As time has passed, karaoke duets evolved to open mics, Mike and Aria wrote a song together, and Aria joined the band officially. Alongside the whole band, Mike and Aria get to live out their lifelong passions together. Ask anyone, their joy on stage is captivating.
Mike planned for several years for the perfect proposal... and he did it! The band was in the recording studio for three days. Mike sneakily coordinated with the sound engineer and friend (thanks, Beeble!) to set up extra room microphones to record the moment. Once Aria was done with her takes on all songs, Mike stepped in with "some extra notes" for "just two more takes". As the professional she is, Aria listened to all the notes, at first thinking, "these seem like less of suggestions for the song and more like compliments... hmm". Before she could catch up, Mike was on one knee and asking to make the thing official. Once she caught her breath, the answer was an obvious YES and if you listen closely, you might be able to hear the proposal in one of our new songs, once released.
Mike and Aria have been through many life transitions from drastic job changes, to Aria going through paramedic school, to navigating lockdown during a pandemic right after first moving in together. They have shared in the grief of losses before they knew each other and losses endured together. They have travelled outside of the country together, lived in 4 different homes together, played music in theatre venues together. Now, they are even working together, travelling the United States painting one running track at a time.
